Her Story
She loves sports. Bikram yoga. Rugby League. The adrenaline. Sweat and the physical push. She loves the mental muscle it challenged, and the physical demands it took her body to places she never thought possible.
She enjoys fashion. Not the obsession. Ostentation. Neither the prospects. Or desire to conform.
She’s creative, a component that transports her away from daily life; the element of translating her rebellious ideas into garments.
In 2003, Zen Life Athletiq founder Zena took off to explore life in the Arabian Desert. Travelling the globe and working alongside amazing local designers, Zena struggled to find stylish activewear that could co-exist with the comfort of free movement in an office environment with heels on, to transition into sneakers without abandoning sophistication.
Not wanting to join a society of fashion conformity, she realised a gap in the market for multifunctional silhouettes that articulate to an international audience. Activewear that can exude sophistication, feature demure tailoring, minimum noise, embody a woman’s powerful spirit, infuse confidence that can take you to a yoga studio, work meeting, onto a night out without the compromise of comfort and style. Her quest was to ignite the archive of activewear with timeless femininity.
She took the codes of drapes, gathers and twists that define dynamic silhouettes to propose a tangible interpretation of functional, yet comfortable activewear garment. Subtle details tempered by style on a cloth expression that offer resistance and security without being held back.
This gave rise to the birth of ZEN LIFE ATHLETIQ – born to fill that void for men and women wanting to live by their own standards. The establishment of a bold brand with an ethos to live unapologetically YOU! Living the right life with purpose with an unbreakable confidence in style.
